Will I qualify for Social Security disability benefits?

This can be hard to tell without the benefit of years of experience handling disability claims. There are lot of factors that enter the equation. Simply knowing your diagnosis is usually not enough. Disability is determined on the basis of symptoms, limitations, age, and even the work that you have done in the last 15 years. Supplemental Security Income and Social Security Disability Insurance also have additional requirements that are unrelated to your disability. Supplemental Security Income is needs based, and Social Security Disability Insurance requires a sufficient number of work credits to qualify. Social Security Disability Insurance Benefits may also be available to minors of disabled individuals, spouses, and widows. We will be happy to discuss your prospects for a disability claim.
